Sony CCD Area Sensors
Sony provides an extensive and diverse lineup of CCD image sensors for a wide range of applications. This lineup encompasses a broad range of devices with image sizes from Diagonal 1,2mm to Diagonal 11mm to respond to your needs and desires.
Progressive scan CCDs differ from the interline CCDs in that all the pixel signals can be read out independently and in order without interlacing.
The color CCD image sensor employs an interline transfer system suited for video cameras. Some sensors use Ye, Cy, Mg and G complementary color mosaic filters which assures high sensitivity and high resolution. A high color reproductivity is achieved through the use of R, G, B primary color mosaic filters.
The B/W CCD image sensor employs an interline transfer system suited for video cameras. The use of the HAD (Hole-Accumulation-Diode) sensor structure assures high resolution, high sensitivity and low dark current.
Sony CCD Linear Sensors
The ILX series devices are CCD linear sensors, ideally suited for applications such as copiers, facsimiles, image scanners and bar code readers. Sony’s linear sensors also employ the unique HAD sensor technology to accomplish complete readout and therefore exhibit ultra-low image lag, good linearity in low illumination conditions and a low dark signal output. Various other excellent electro-optical characteristics make them convenient for measuring equipment use. |
