Histogram

The Histogram module calculates the intensity histogram and detects pixel that are outside the expected tonal range (dead or hot pixel).

A captured black image (produced by covering the lens) or a uniform gray or white picture can be used to detect defect pixels that are outside the expected tonal range. These pixel are named dead pixel or hot pixel and can automatically be detected by IE-Analyzer 4.0. The dead pixel or hot pixel are saved in a table (pixel map) that can be imported by a camera for correction or used by an external software. The threshold that is used to mark a pixel as defect can be set individually.
